Providers of hospice care are allowed by Medicare to charge back a portion of the drugs and some types of care to the patient and/or their family.  However, Hospice of Eastern Idaho, as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, chooses not to do so, and never charges for care given to any one who cannot pay.

The only way we can continue to provide care at this level is through the generosity of donors.  Hospice of Eastern Idaho uses cash donations to pay for hospice services, medications and equipment for those who do not have resources to pay for their care, and to purchase materials for the Caregiver Resource Center.  You may donate via check, money order or cashier's check.   We do not accept credit cards, as that is 3-4% off the top, which comes directly out of patient care.  If you are donating in memory of someone, please let us know so that we can let the family know of your donation. As we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all donations are tax deductible.

We can also accept donations of tangible items such as Attends, wheelchairs, bed tables, or items such as automobiles, real estate or the like, subject of course to IRS regulations.  We cannot accept any form of medications.

You may bring or mail your donations to 1810 Moran Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83401-4337.
